Ahly v Carthage - Who will be the African Queens

Cairo, Egypt, March 14, 2018- Ahly of Egypt will play Carthage of Tunisia in the women’s African club championship final seeking a ninth Cup triumph, while Carthage will be looking to seal their place in the top echelons of African volleyball history.


The game is so much bigger than what happens on the court in Cairo on Thursday, and the outcome will ring into eternity.


Carthage has assumed a leadership position in African volleyball, but Ahly are not certain about how it wants to lead against this indomitable Tunisian side. With home support Ahly undoubtedly will influence that debate after beaten Pipeline 3-1 in the semifinal.


The contrast could not be greater. Whilst this is a virgin territory for Carthage, it will be Ahly’s many finals of the competition and they were able to clinch the title 8 times and that have make them the queens of women African volleyball at club championship.


The whole Egypt will be watching this final, whiles fan across Tunisia will clue to their TV screens to see how Carthage will try to upset their host as the two giants face off on continental scale.
