Carthage shatters Shams hopes of reaching the Semis

Cairo, Egypt, March 12, 2018- Defending championships Carthage made it two out of two against Shams of Egypt after beating them 3-1 (25- 8, 20-25, 27-25, 25-23) in the quarterfinals of the women’s African club championship.


 Cartage beat Shams also in the final of the last year's final in Monaster.  


Carthage were in dominant form in the first set winning 25-8. Both teams test each other out in the second set trying to find spaces in the back court and scoring with powerful cross court hits.


Point for point the teams played it out, neither willing to give in. Two aces and a power block from CFC were enough to win the 3rd set.


Now, Carthage are one match away from centering the final and the goal to defend the title live on.
