I dream to win the Women's African Club Champs- Prisons setter Lusenaka

11 March 2018

Cairo, Egypt, March 11, 2018- Joy Lusenaka, a setter with Kenya Prisons has forged the weapons to become a volleyball superstar. When Prisons all-time great setter Jane Wacu announces her absence for the 2018 women’s African club championship, promising setter Joy Lusenaka has been called to fill the shoes of the experienced Jane Wacu.

Since she was introduced to fill the position once held by one of Africa’s best setter Jane Wacu, it was already clear she was developing rapidly. She became more athletic, more technical and it was obvious the brilliance between her and the others at the championships.

‘’ I feel good, playing this role for my team. I am under no pressure because I believe I can carry the load," The 27 year old Prisons new setter said. "Jane Wacu, is a great setter in Africa. She was the best in her role," Joy added, but again, I believe in myself that I can do it, and I can prove that I can be the best in this position she said.

"I wanted to be the best, and the only thing I want this year is the title, African club championship title."

Prisons had won it several times, but Joy never lay her hands on it. She wants also to be the best setter in Africa. A young and talented setter, filling the shoes of a maestro, Joy Lusenaka, today carries the hopes of Kenya Prisons on her shoulders.
