Algeria to host Zonal Phase Round 2 Women Pool 3 at CAVB Continental Cup

 Bejaia, Algeria, October 28, 2011- Algeria hosts a new stop of the CAVB Continental Cup when it receives 4 women teams participating in the Zonal Phase Round 2  Women Pool 3. The continental Cup is the qualifier for the 2012 London Olympic Games. 

 The tournament will qualify the top two teams to the finals of the CAVB Continental Cup to be held in June 2012 as Algeria, Mozambique, Sierra Leone and Uganda compete for the prestigious spots.

 The host team of Algeria is considered a great favorite to win the gold medal after they won the gold in the first round of the zonal phase. The Algerian pairing of Meriem Bouchetta - Sonia Berkiouane won the gold medal of the Arab Championship in Morocco with the other double Amel Khemtache- Nabila Hammouche.

 After their gold medal at their homelands during the first round in Maputo last July, Mozambique come also as big candidates to the finals. 

 The referees participating in the competition run a refreshing course before the competition led by the Algerian Referee Gamal Berghoul in the framework of the CAVB Development Plan

Beach-volley/Qualification aux JO 2012 :  le 2e tour africain (Dames)

       les  Hammadites" de Bejaia   27 au 29 octobre

Algérie plus précieusement   la station balnéaire de  l hôtel Hammadites de  la ville de Bejaia  abritera du 27 au 29 octobre  2011 le second tour africain de beach-volley (dames) qualificatif aux Jeux Olympiques de Londres 2012,

La compétition  regroupera les deux paires de chaque nation participante, à savoir, le Mozambique, le Sierra Leone, l'Ouganda.

et , l'Algérie qui sera représenté   avec la paire féminine Meriem Bouchetta - Sonia Berkiouane, vainqueur de la 10e édition du championnat arabe 2011 de Rabat (Maroc) et celui d’Algérie pour la 3e année consécutive (2009, 2010, 2011). Elle sera secondée par la doublette  Amel Khemtache –Nabila Hammouche.

La nation vainqueur de ce second tour ouvre droit à l'ultime round africain qualificatif aux JO-2012, qui aura lieu en juin 2012, dans un lieu qui sera déterminé ultérieurement par la Confédération africaine de volley-ball,  

Ce  second tournoi organise  pour la  1er  fois  en Algérie par la ligue de volleyball  wilaya de  bejaia en  partenariat avec  la fédération  algérienne de  volleyball  se tient sous l’égide de la Confédération africaine de volley-ball, après  celui abrité par la ville d’Accra (Ghana), du 17 au 20 août. 2011
