Egypt in intense build up to 2014 Men's World Championship

Cairo, Egypt, August 3, 2014- Egypt Volleyball National team beat Tunisia 3-0 (25-16, 25-22, 25-15) in their first friendly match at Palaia Des Sports Hall in Tunis, Tunisia on Saturday. The game is one of two between the biggest African Arc rivals to prepare for the 2014 Men's World Championship in Poland.

 

 Egypt new coach Ibrahim Fakhreddine who is also the head coach for the Egyptian Giants Ahly selected 15 players for Tunisia camp which will be followed by another 5 day camp at their neighbours Algeria including 3 friendly matches with the Algerian National team,

 

 The African champions will return back to Egypt on August 9 to train locally until they leave on August 19 to Italy for a final preparation camp till August 28 when they leave directly to Poland for the World Championship. 

 

 Egypt will line up in the World Championship finals against Russia, Bulgaria, Croatia, China and Mexico in Pool C, while Tunisia will battle it out in Pool B along with Brazil, Cuba, Germany, Korea and Finland.
