Kenya, Uganda and Egypt through to U19 Beach VB World Championship


KAMPALA Uganda May 26, 2014- Kenya, Uganda and Egypt booked their tickets to the U19 Beach Volleyball World championship in Porto, Portugal from July 29 to August 3 in boys category, while Namibia and Uganda will represent the continent in the girls gender, following the 2014 CAVB U19 Beach Cup held at Lido Beach in Entebbe, Uganda May 22 to 25, 2014.


Kenya collected three victories in Boys' category against their three opponents as they beat Egypt 2-0 (21-17, 21-12) in their first match before they beat hosts Uganda 2-0 (22-20, 21-16) in the second match and finally Namibia 2-0 (21-18, 21-12) in the last match.


 Uganda came second with two victories ahead of Egypt who won the bronze medals.


 In Girls category Uganda played Namibia twice where the latter won both matches, but both secured their tickets to the finals of the World championships.
