Uganda to host U19 WC Beach Volleyball qualifiers

 

 Entebbe, Uganda, May 23, 2014- Uganda will play hosts to Kenya, Egypt and Namibia ahead of the Federation of International "FIVB" Beach Volleyball U-19 World Championship qualifiers. The double gender competition will take place at Lido Beach in Entebbe from May 22-25 ahead of the finals in Porto, Portugal from July 29 to August 3.

 

While the local organizing committee waits for the names of the other teams coming to Uganda, the hosts will be represented by the Kathbert Malinga and Elias Isiagi in the boys. While Faith Magole and Jackline Kwikiriza are the girls.

 

The teenagers are undergoing training in Entebbe under the watchful eye of coach Sam Meya. The Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) has also appointed Drago Peslac as referee delegate.

 

Senegal will host the other group where the top three finishers (per gender) in each group shall qualify for the World Championship.
