CAVB Coaches Instructors Seminar
Cairo, Egypt, April 12, 2014- African Volleyball Confederation "CAVB" president Dr Amr Elwani addresses the participants at the Coaches Instructors Seminar during the closure ceremony held at Sonesta Hotel in Cairo, Egypt on Saturday.
Elwani asked each participant to exchange the experience he gained at his corresponding country when he returns back.
"We will have more seminars to qualify more instructors because coaches are the main tools to achieve our developmental goals," Elwani said during the closing ceremony. "We have now a wider scope to improve and develop the coaching in Africa after we worked in the last few years on the other items of the sport."
"We will work hard to qualify some of you as FIVB instructors according to the criteria we made during this seminar," he continued.
"I want to thank all coaches' commission members for their hard work to establish a good system for development at all levels, so we worked form the grassroots in special programme beside our main project, "The African Dream". We worked also to increase the coaches experience through the coaches Scholarship which allow the young coaches to get the direct experience from the highly experienced countries by full living with the preparations of World level teams in Europe and Brazil.
"We have also the "Coaches Aid Programme" which make the under developed countries to use the experience of big coaches form Africa and Europe and this helped to improve the national teams of such countries specially in the World championship qualifiers. We will work hard also in Data Volley to use this technology to improve the performance of our coaches." He concluded.
The third day of the seminar showed a practical part in the Olympic Center in Cairo followed by the last theoretical session conducted by FIVB Instructor Jivko Jetchev and CAVB Coaching Commission President Sherif El Shemerly.
