The attendance of the meeting led by CAVB President and the main sponsor Gilbert Diendere

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, October 22, 2011- Ten counties started the Zone 3 meeting program presided by CAVB President Dr Amr Elwani in presence of representatives from 11 NFs in Ouagadougou and the main Volleyball sponsor Mr Gilbert Diendere who is the main supporter for the sport in the western part of the continent.
The meeting that was attended also by some countries from zones 1 and 2 aims at increasing the zonal activity in this part of the content and produce more communications between the NFs of this part.
CAVB President Dr Amr Elwani sent a message in his welcome speech on how to enforce the volleyball activity which showed a lot of progress since 2006 when the Mr Gilbert Diendere took over the responsibility to support the teams participating in the annual solidarity tournament for the National teams and clubs in this area. He congratulated the NFs of this area for their persistent activity that produces a lot of progress in the last few years after the great unity between the neighboring countries.
Zone 3 president Sawadogo opened the meeting asked the attendance to send a letter of thanks to the FIVB and its president Jizhong Wei for the great support they gave to Africa.
Gilbert Diendere welcomed the NFs from zone 1 and who shared the meeting with zone 3 countries. He also appreciated the support of the President of the Republic Mr. Compaore Blaise who was originally a volleyball player.
The meeting was attended also by FIVB Board member and CAVB Treasurer Habu Gumel, Zone 2 president and CAVB Board member Mory Kieta, Niger VB President Youcef, Algeria President Moustafa Lamouche, Mali VB vice President Gueye Moussa, Togo VB President Ayaovi Babanawo, Togo vice president N’Dadiya Essossauneyou Gambia VB President Musa Casa Taal, Ghana VB President Paul Atchoe and Zone 3 President Issiaka Sawadogo.
Following the meeting the delegations attended two matches between Burkina Faso and Niger in both genders.
