Algeria set second win at World Championship qualifier

2014 Women's World championship- Day 4 Pool T

 

 

 Alger, Algeria, February 26, 2014- Hosts Algeria crushed Botswana 3-0 (25-11, 25-10, 25-10) in the fourth day of the 2014 Women's World championship qualifier African Pool T held at Harcha Hacène Hall in Alger, Algeria on Wednesday,

 

 Algeria kept their unbeaten record with tournament's second win to improve to 2-0, while Botswana dropped to 1-2.

 

 In another match of the day Cameroon cruised past Nigeria 3-0 (25-14, 25-11, 25-16) to improve their win- loss ratio to 2-1, while Nigeria became 0-3.

 

 The 6 nation round robin tournament will feature 2 important matches on Thursday as Algeria face Cameroon in one of the competition's crucial matches, while Nigeria meet DR Congo in another ranking encounter.

 

The winner of the six nation tournament will earn a ticket to the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship Italy 2014, which will take place from September 23 to October 12.
