Lusaka, Zambia, October 25, 2013- Botswana secured a final qualification slot for 2014 FIVB Women's World Championship after they cruised past Zimbabwe 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-4) in the fourth day of Zone 6 qualification tournament (Pool R) in Lusaka, Zambia on Friday.
Botswana improved their win- loss ratio to 4-0 with 12 points to pull off one of the two tickets of the pool one day before the end of the tournament.
Dark horses Mozambique proved their consistency after they clinched the fourth win against host Zambia in a grueling tiebreaker 3-2 (20-25, 25-17, 19-25, 25-10, 15-4). Mozambique improved their win- loss ratio 4-0 with 10 points.
Namibia overwhelmed Swaziland 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-11) to advance to the fourth position with 2-2 ratio (5 pts).
The top two teams of this tournament will proceed to the finals of the qualifier to be held in January 2014. The second ticket will be determined in the last tournament's day on Saturday.
