Pool D - Cote d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Ghana compete for zonal phase spot

2014 World Championship Qualifier
 
 Cairo, Egypt, July 16, 2013- Favourite Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana and Host Burkina Faso will compete in a 3 nation round robin tournament at sub Zonal Phase Pool D Women Qualifier for 2014 World Championship due to start in Ouagadougou on Thursday.
 
 The competition comes as the second tournament of this phase after Mozambique hosted Pool J tournament early this month.
 
 The African World Championship Qualifier passes through three stages, the Sub Zonal this month to qualify 30 teams to the second round which is the Znal phaswe to be held in October and November 2013.
 
The top 12 teams from the zonal phase joined by the top two ranked teams in the FIVB ranking will play in two pools of the final phase in January and February 2014, where the leader of each pool will qualify directly to the 2014 Women's World Championship in Italy.
