Botswana men and women teams ready for 2014 World Championship qualifier

Botswana, June 25, 2013- Botswana Volleyball Federation is preparing the Senior National Teams for both men and women to take part in the World Cup Qualifiers to be held in Mozambique from 2 – 7 July 2013.  

 

 Botswana will play against South Africa, Mozambique, Lesotho and Swaziland in Pool J in both categories to qualify the top three countries which will meet with the other Zone 6 countries in Pool K.  The other group comprises Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi.  The final two in the last stage will meet the rest of Africa in 2014 to qualify three men team and two woman teams to the 2014 FIVB World Championships.

 

The men national team is preparing in Serowe College of Education Sports hall while the women are preparing at Sebele BCA indoor hall.

 

The final list of players will be declared by the coaches of both teams before 30th June 2013.   The teams will leave for Maputo on the 30th June 2013 and is expected back on the 8th July 2013.  

 

 Botswana is considered one of the most active national federations in Zone 6 as they are regular participants in all the zonal and continental championships.
