Cairo, Egypt, May 22, 2013- African Volleyball Confederation President Dr Amr Elwani confirmed that the 2013 Board of Administration meeting will continue the great work of African development through the ambitious programme that was implemented in 2011.
Elwani appraised the work done by the whole volleyball family in Africa helping the continent to progress towards the World level.
CAVB President addressed the media through a video stream in the CAVB web site (www.cavb.org) and said that he is optimistic ahead of the board of Administration meeting with the performance of all board and commission members who put all their experience to help volleyball development and progress in Africa.
The president appreciated the efforts done by the whole volleyball family throughout the 18 months following their elections in December 2011 as well as the dramatic increase in Beach volleyball activity in the last three years.
The CAVB Executive Committee met on Wednesday in preparation of the Board of Administration meeting on Thursday and Friday.
CAVB President Dr. Amr Elwani opened the meeting by stressing to the members on how important they are in determining the right pathway of work specially to motivate up and coming federations.
“I thank you all for the great ideas and proposals you are offering the board. We still have a lot to do," Elwani Said.
"We want to congratulate Africa for the great work you did and special congratulation to the 24 teams of both genders qualifying to the three Beach Volleyball World Championships U19, U21 and U23 and we want them to honourably represent Africa in the World scene,"
The FIVB Board of Administration will take place at the Egyptian Olympic Committee on Thursday and Friday.
