Cairo, Egypt, May 21, 2013 – The African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) Executive Committee will meet in Cairo, Egypt on Wednesday presided by Dr Amr Elwani in preparation of the Board of Administration meeting on Thursday and Friday May 23 and 24.
The long course of 2014 World Championship qualifications and continued development Strategy are the key themes ahead of approving the agenda for the Board of Administration meeting.
“We are preparing new ideas to continue the good work specially in Development after we saw the outcome of our ambitious Development Strategy started in 2009," CAVB President Dr Amr Elwani said.
"We need to improve and we still have a lot to do using the experience of our Executive and Board of Administration. I'm happy to see most of our affiliated NFs participating now in our activity and we need them now to show their progress in the coming World Championship qualifications where we had a historic 43 countries participating in the men's side and 41 in the women's," He added.
"We want also to continue our revolution in Beach Volleyball after the great progress achieved since the Continental Cup which served as 2012 London Olympic Games Qualifier and featured more than 40 countries from the whole continent sharing the success."
The CAVB Board of Administration will take place at the Egyptian Olympic Committee on Thursday and Friday.
