Tripoli, Libya, May 8, 2013- African Volleyball Confederation "CAVB" refereeing Commission presided by Hassan Ahmed who is also the FIVB Refereeing Commission President organized the fourth refereeing seminar during the 2013 African Club Championship hosted by Libya April 20-24, 2013.
The event comes as a part of the CAVB Development strategic Plan which aims at doubling the number of international referees in the continent in the coming three years.
The seminar showed 48 participants from 22 countries where new technological teaching materials were used. There was training for the electronic score sheet and studying techniques of the second referee movements.
"This seminar was very successful and reflects the great work done by our commission to improve the standard of our referees," Said CAVB Refereeing Commission President Hassan Ahmed.
"We had a special session on how to reach the top level of all our international referees and I found great response from most of the attending referees. We also want to fulfill the African quota of referees." He added.
