Six teams secure quarterfinal tickets - Day 4

Tripoli, Libya, April 22, 2013- Appearing on the continent for the first time, Autoridade Tributaria (Mozambique) qualified for the quarterfinals of 2013 Men’s African Club Championship held in Tripoli, Libya following the fourth day of the preliminary round on Monday.


Autoridade Tributaria who defeated Nemostars from Uganda 3-1 joined Host Ahly Tripoli, FAP of Cameroon, Prisons from Kenya Sfax and Esperance (Both from Tunisia) in the quarter finals


In pool A Nahda (SUD) defeated DGSP (CGO) 3-2 (21- 25, 23-25, -25-21, 26-24, 15-13)


Pool B showed Sfax (TUN) beating Daim Hamad (SUD) 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-14), Ahly Benghazi (LBA) proved their strength and showed that they are big favourite as they defeated Borj Bou Arirrij (ALG) 3-1 (27-25, 25-15, 19-25, 25-17)


Swahili (LBA) trounced Delta Spikers (NGR) 3-1 (25-22, 25-15, 25-20, 25-16) after great performance in Pool C.


Autoridade Tributaria (MOZ) defeated Nemostars (UGA) 3-1(21-25, 25-20, 25-18, 26-28) to qualify for the quarterfinals for the first time on their maiden appearance in Pool D to stretch their win ratio to 2-1.
