Cairo, Egypt, March 15, 2013- African Volleyball Confederation "CAVB" decided to postpone the 2013 Men's African Club Championship for two weeks due to the huge participation of record number of 30 clubs in the most attractive African volleyball competition.
CAVB in its official declaration mentioned that the changes of the previous dates which was April 3-11, 2013 to the new one April 19- 27 comes to guarantee good organization and good technical circumstances for the competition.
CAVB inspected before two Halls to host the competition which act as a qualifier for the FIVB Club World Championship, but according to the unpreceeded number of participating team, The Continental Volleyball governing body asked the organizer to arrange for two more Halls to host the matches.
The Libyan Minister of Youth and Sport together with the National Olympic Committee gave a special attention to make this championship a success and offered all the conditions to have a notable organization and due to their influence and close cooperation with the Libyan Authority, they reached a special agreement with the African Airlines as well as the Libyan Airlines to grant all participated teams a reduction from 20 to 50% on the Air tickets.
Local Media are closely attracted to the ground breaking event as there is a daily coverage for the event in the daily newspapers as well as a special edition of an official newspaper for the event will be prepared during the whole competition days.
