Tunis, Tunisia, March 8, 2013- The 2013 Men's Junior African Nations Championship was a good occasion to celebrate the World Women's Day to clarify the role done by the women in the African volleyball. The Control Committee President of the competition Mrs Touria Aarab collected all the women participating in the competition on Friday whether officials, Referees or even the spectators to celebrate the role of the women which is increasing now in African Volleyball. The world Volleyball governing body "FIVB" through its president Dr Ary GRAÇA is now potentiating the women's role in all volleyball fields as he commented during the commission meetings in January considering the women as corner stone in their families and she can encourage their children to be involved in volleyball at a young age. Aarab collected all the women in the hall including the CAVB Technical Director Howyda Mondy, the two Tunisian International Referees Aida Hlila and Hayfa Wafi, as well as the TV announcer of the Tunisian TV and the whole women officials in the Tunisian Volleyball Federation. She called also all the women spectators to give each women a flower to celebrate the World's Day. "We need as women here to proof that we are a valuable part of the sport as women first and also as mothers who can do a lot for the sport with our children," Aarab said. "I want to thank all the women present here for their great role in volleyball and I want them to do more. They have to accompany their children to volleyball halls and to follow them in training because we are the real future of the sport," she added. The Men's Junior African Nations Championship is also a qualification procedure for the FIVB World Championship to be held in Turkey this summer. Tunisia, Egypt, Rwanda and Morocco have already secured their vacancies at the prestigious event.
