Tunis, Tunisia, March 5, 2013- Heavy favourite Egypt set their third victory in three matches over the fighting Morocco team 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-15) in the best of fourth day of the 2013 Men's Junior African Nations Championship held at Sidi Boussaid hall in Tunis, Tunisia on Monday.
Egypt led Pool B with 9 points from 3-0 ahead of Morocco (6 pts from 2-1). The Egyptians beside Tunisia who were in a rest day become the first teams to secure semifinal spots.
Libya secured the second victory in the same pool over South Africa 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-16) to compete for the second spot of the pool in the semifinal.
In pool A Algeria swept Congo Brazzaville 3-0 (25-19, 25-9, 29-27) in a match that showed more thrills towards the end. Rwanda proved their consistency with a straight sets victory (25-19, 25-10, 25-15) over Sierra Leone to stay in competition for a semifinal spot.
By the end of the fourth day, one day before the end of the preliminary round, Tunisia who were in a rest day keep the leadership of the pool with 9 points from a win loss ratio of 3-0 ahead of both Algeria and Rwanda 6 pts from 2-1. Congo Brazzaville came fourth with 3 pts from 1-2 and Sierra Leone at the bottom of the pool with zero pts from 4 matches.
Pool B is led by Egypt (9 pts from 3-0), ahead of Morocco (6 pts from 2-1). Libya comes third (5 pts from 2-1) and RD Congo fourth (4 pts from 1-2) while South Africa come fifth (Zero pts from 0-4)
the fifth and last day of the preliminary round will feature 4 matches where Rwanda plays Algeria for a spot in the semifinal in Pool A which show also another match Congo Brazzaville v Tunisia. Pool B shows a strong match between Egypt and Libya, while Morocco faces RD Congo.
