VCP Coaches Course starts in Sierra Leone

Free Town, Sierra Leone, February 7, 2013 – A Level 1 FIVB VCP Coaches Course got under way on February 4 at the National Stadium in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

 

A total of 29 participants drawn from all four regions in Sierra Leone are taking part in the course, including seven women and 22 men.

 

Ahmed Khanou, Secretary General of the Sierra Leone Volleyball Association, described the course as timely and very significant for the Association. He expressed his gratitude to the FIVB for holding the course in Sierra Leone for the second time.

 

The Secretary General also encouraged the participants to grab the opportunity to help volleyball grow in Sierra Leone.

 

 Meanwhile, the course instructor Mostapha Ahchouche was optimistic that the country has the potential to grow up in volleyball because of the commitments and enthusiasm of the young people who are dreaming to become coaches.

 

"I think they have the spirit also determined to learn all knowledge of the game. From this course we can create a network of coaches who can help in development of the sport in the West African country." Ahchouche said.   

 

The course will end on February 11.
