Egypt Boys clinch the first 2013 African gold

Egypt Boys team started successfully the 2013 CAVB titles after they claimed the twelfth Boys Youth African Nations Championship after beat all their competitors in the finals of the competition that showed four teams participating.   

 

 

 

 Egypt defeated their biggest compatriots Tunisia 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-20) in the first day before they overpowered host Algeria 3-1 (12-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-12) in the second day. The Egyptians continued their clean sheet with hammering the dark horses Rwanda in the third day 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-22) in the third day.

 

 

 

 Egypt team led by the experienced head coach Mohamed El Lakany featured a very positive image to gain their third title at this age category after 2002 and 2004. The coach added a new achievement in his bright CV after he led Zamalek Club to the African championship title in 2012 to qualify to the FIVB Club World Championship that was held in Doha.

 

 

 

 On the other hand Rwanda proved their progressive improvement with their fighting spirit that put them as the competition dark horses specially after beating the host Algeria in the opening match.

Best Defense: Mohamed Ramdan (Egypt)
