Bujumbura, Burundi, January 15, 2013- Burundi Volleyball Federation will organize a beach volleyball tournament to celebrate 20th anniversary of beach volleyball in Burundi. The competition comes in the framework of the Development of the sport throughout the country after the great results achieved last year in CAVB Competitions where the National Junior teams won the African Cup in Togo.
The competition will be held in Rumonge, 50 km from the capital Bujumbura with the participation of all the affiliated teams. Burundi Federation will invite 5 African counties to participate at the international tournament which will be hosted 23 and 23 February 2013 under the supervision of the president of the state.
"Beside this there will be Beach volleyball courses in 5 sites to ensure the widespread of beach volleyball throughout the central African country which will be the capital Bujumbura, Nyanza Lake 200 km from Bujumbura, Tanganyika Lake, Magara city 60 km from the capital and Kabezi. These courses will continue throughout 2013." Burundi Volleyball Fed President Louis Rwakiranya said.
