Libya ready to host the 2013 Men's African Club Championship in Tripoli

 Tripoli, Libya, January 13, 2013- African Volleyball Confederation "CAVB" inspected the Libyan facilities to host the attractive African Volleyball event as they have become the biggest candidate to organize the 2013 Men's African Club Championship in Tripoli next April.



 The competition is considered one of the most important volleyball event in Africa as it attracts more than 20 teams every year to compete for the African title as well as the continental spot at the prestigious FIVB Club World Championship.


 The inspection made by CAVB representative Mr Hassan Ahmed who is also FIVB and CAVB Referee Commission President, aims at checking all the facilities to host the big event including the competition halls, the hotels and the transportation between the main competition areas.


 The competition is designated  to be held at Tripoli Grand Hall which has the capacity of 5000 spectators and 17 February Hall with capacity of 1200.


 The organizing Committee also arranged the hotels known to host the teams, referees and officials.


 At the end of the inspection the CAVB Representative met the Libyan Minister of Sports in presence of the Libyan Volleyball Federation President Gamal Zerrouk and the vice president Ayad El Misurati.


 He welcomed the CAVB event and mentioned that it is an honour for Libya to host the big event 5 years after their previous successful organization in 2008 and expected a very highly organised event.


 "I think the Libyan Fed made everything available for successful organization specially the competition halls that can adapt any FIVB competition not only at the continental level," Said Hassan Ahmed.
