2010 Women’s Junior African Nations Championship- Day 5 (Final)

Egypt sweeps Tunisia to claim the trophy

Tunis, Tunisia, October 20, 2010- Egypt Women Junior team claimed the trophy of the 2010 Women’s Junior African Nations Championship following their win over their arch rivals Tunisia in the final held here at Tunis, Tunisia on Tuesday. Algeria clinched the bronze medal after their victory over Rwanda.

 Egypt junior played their best to pull off a respectable victory over Tunisia 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-16) after a great performance and complete dominance of the net action.

 Algeria cruised past Rwanda 3-1 (25-21, 25-23, 16-25, 25-18) in 90 minutes of exciting volleyball to obtain the bronze medal.

  • Best Libero: TRAII AHLEM – TUNISIA

  • Best receiver: UWIMANA  BEATRICE- RWANDA
  • Best scorer: HUSSEIN YASMIN- EGYPT
