11 December 2012

Sumbawanga, Tanzania, December 3, 2012-  Tanzania Volleyball Association conducted a local course for Sports teachers in Rukwa Region Sumbawanga in the Framework of Tanzania Volleyball Federation "TAVA" Development Plan.

The course which started on Monday 26 November and concluded on Friday 30 was tailored for Sports teachers in the region as a continuation of TAVA plan in getting 600  qualified sports teachers nationwide.

The program supported by CAVB and FIVB has been successfully implemented in more than ten regions until now.

At the end of every program 50 volleyballs and five nets are freely  distributed in the local schools  with a purpose of involving schools in the volleyball playing.

TAVA aims at getting more than 12,000 pupils playing volleyball nationwide  at the end of the program

This is a big  opportunity for TAVA  as school  sports were banned for nearly ten years in the last phase government. Therefore this program gives volleyball fraternity a light of hope of our sport Volleyball.
