Nairobi, Algeria, August 23, 2011- Kenya and Algeria qualified for the final of the 2011 African Nations Championship held in Nairobi, Kenya after beating Senegal and Egypt respectively in the semifinal matches.
Kenya were too strong for Senegal whom they beat (3-0 of 25-10, 25-15, 25-18) without much resistance.
Algeria had to dig deep to overcome Egypt 3-1 (16-25, 25-27, 25-18, 20-25) in a thrilling encounter that could have go neither way.
In the ranking matches, Cameroon beat Botswana 3-1 (25-23, 25-22,19-25, 25-21) in an entertaining tie. Tunisia beat Nigeria 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 27-25) with Nigeria twice allowing the opponent team to rally from behind to win the second and third sets.
