Maputo celebrates 125th anniversary with a Cool Beach Volley Championship

Maputo, Mozambique, October 30, 2012- Mozambique volleyball Federation organized a cool Beach Volleyball championship in the occasion of the 125th anniversary of Maputo city, the capital, of Mozambique.

 The competition features 4 stops; the first was on October 21, then the second on October 28. The competition will be resumed by another two days on November 4 before the final day at Miramar Beach on November 11.

 The festival showed also the participation of primary school students from Matola and Maputo in a Park volley festival.

 The competition is sponsored by Standard Bank that was the sponsor of Mozambique women team in the CAVB Continental Cup early this year where the team finished third at the prestigious FIVB competition winning the bronze medal.

 On the other hand Mozambique Volleyball Federation will open on Wednesday October 31, the FIVB VCP Courses Beach Volleyball and continues till November 6 instructed by Yaniv Noyman.
