Khartoum, Sudan, September 26, 2012- Khartoum Development Center in Sudan concluded a successful International Candidate Referee course in Sudan with the participation of 20 referees including 5 women.
The course was held under supervision of the World Volleyball governing body “FIVB” and the African Volleyball Confederation “CAVB” from August 28 to September 4, 2012. It was directed by Hassan Ahmed (Egypt) and instructed by Jacek Spisak (Poland).
The 8 day course showed a record of 12 participating countries which are Sudan, Egypt, Iran, Kuwait, Ghana, Greece, United Arab Emirates, Uganda, Tanzania, Jordan, Tunisia and Oman.
The opening ceremony was attended by Sudan Volleyball Federation and Zone 5 President Atta El Manan where he appreciated the effort done by both FIVB and CAVB to develop the sport in the continent.
Sudan TV as well as a lot of written media was attracted to cover the closure ceremony where all the 20 participants received their certificates after the all passed the exams. The attendance of the representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Sudanese Olympic Committee gave more depth to the closing as they all thanked the course director and instructor for their efforts.
