Lome, Togo, June 30, 2012- African Volleyball Confederation “CAVB” Organizing Committee of the 2012 Beach Volleyball Junior Cup organized a referee clinic during the competition that gets underway in Lome, Togo on Friday with the participation of 11 countries.
The clinics was conducted by the International referees Hazem El Sherbini (EGY), Hannington Nsubua (UGA) who acts as referee Delegates and Giovanni Bake (RSA) beside the CAVB Beach Director May Alaa.
The clinic was attended by 15 international and national referees and showed a lot of discussions about the rules of the game and the recent changes in those rules.
Among other issues discussed during the meeting there were presentations for the match protocol, the criteria for setting over hand with fingers, and the allowed tipping of the ball.
CAVB organized also another session for the scorers, line judges and court assistant attended by more than 40 persons who learnt how to conduct the matches each in his position.
