Lome, Togo, June 28, 2012- Togo became ready to host the first ever African Beach Volleyball Junior Cup for Men and Women due to start at Lome Beach in Togo on Friday.
The finals will feature 11 countries in both genders coming out from the zonal qualifications that were held early in April and May where the top 6 ranked teams in the finals secure their tickets to the FIVB World Championship of this age category.
Participating countries are host Togo, South Africa, Guinea Conakry, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Rwanda, Burundi, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Gabon and Zimbabwe.
The top six teams in both men and women competitions will qualify to the FIVB World Championship to be held in Halifax, Canada August 29 to September 2.
