Tokyo, Japan, June 14, 2012- Japan Volleyball Association “JVA” Executive Commission confirms the full support to the candidacy of FIVB vice President Dr. Ary Graça as the next FIVB President for the period 2012-2016 as they confirmed to CAVB President Dr Amr Elwani during his work at the Men’s World Olympic Qualifications that was concluded in Tokyo, Japan last week.
Elwani represented the campaign of the 4 continental confederations Africa, Asia, South America and Norceca who previously adopted their decision few months ago to support Graça for the prestigious position through the meeting of the presidents of the respective confederations. These four Continental Confederations group 166 of the 220 National Volleyball Federations from countries represented in FIVB.
Elwani had several meetings with JVA executive during the World Olympic Qualifications where he found the great support of Japan to the candidacy of Graça.
Elwani declared that JVA presided by Mr Nakana were all at the full capacity to support the Brazilian to lead the world volleyball after his great success at the continental level since 1997 and praised the capabilities of the Brazilian as the ideal person to lead FIVB for the next period with his wide developmental experiences.
“The coalition seems to be very strong and collected all the NFs under one flag to support Graça and confirms the endorsement of this support world wise. JVA also appreciated the work done by Dr. Saleh Bin Nasser, the AVC president at the continental level.” added Elwani.
