The International Centre was renamed the International Centre of Abdoulaye Baba Sy Dakar Senegal in Baba Sy\'s honour

Dakar, Senegal, May 26, 2011 – A tournament held in memory of former FIVB Coaches Commission member and President of the Senegal Volleyball Federation Mr Baba Sy, who sadly passed away in February 2010, was held from April 15 to 17 in Senegal.
Six teams from Gambia and five teams from Senegal took part in the men’s edition while five teams from Gambia and four from Senegal took part in the women’s.
During the tournament it was decided that the International Centre in the country would be renamed the International Centre of Abdoulaye Baba Sy Dakar Senegal. Baba Sy’s wife, Lika Cisse, and older brother, Amadou Sy, were present.
