Nairobi, Kenya, May 17, 2012- Defending champions Kenya Prisons will once again face off against Kenya Pipeline in the 2012 Women’s African Club Championship final in a repeat of last two year gold-medal match after both sides won their semifinal encounters at Moi International Sports Center in Nairobi, Kenya on Thursday.
Organizer Kenya Pipeline beat FAP of Cameroon 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-7) to advance to the final.
Defending champions Kenya Prisons recorded a quick 3-0 (25-14, 25-9, 25-10) against Chlef of Algeria to qualify for final and assure of an all Kenyan final.
Prisons victory also handed Kenya as a country ticket to this year's FIVB World Clubs Championships to be staged in Doha, Qatar in October.
Prisons represented the continent during the 2010 and 2011 FIVB Club World Championship in Doha, Qatar.
May 18 is rest day and action resume on May 19 with play-off and final match at same venue.
