Depressive day for the Kenyan teams

Day 4

 Nairobi, Kenya, May 13, 2012- in a day full of surprises, defending champions Prisons of Kenya and their compatriots KCB lost their matches against FAP of Cameroon and Stef Auto of Madagascar to depress the home crowd in the fourth day of the 2012 Women’s African Club Championship in Nairobi, Kenya on Sunday.

POOL A

Chlef of Algeria hammered Manga Sport (GAB) 3-0 (25-14            ,25-10, 25-15) to improve their win- loss ratio to 2-1 and secure a quarterfinal ticket.     

POOL B

FAP of Cameroon played their best to beat defending champions Prisons   3-0 (25-12,25-13,25-17) in 66 minutes.

Variete volley (Gabon) defeated Canon (COD) 3-0  (25-6,   25-7, 25-8) and both teams became 1-2.                                 

POOL C

Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) lost 3-2 (22-25, 25-23, 25-17, 17-25, 15-11 )  against Stef Auto in a crucial Pool ‘C’ match in the biggest competition surprises. The result complicated KCB chances of qualifying to the quarter-finals as they must beat Rwanda Revenue Authority in the final match to advance in the tournament.

In the other Pool ‘C’ match Canon of DR Congo beat Varieties of Gabon 3-0 (25-6, 25-7, 25-8) to record their second victory of the tournament.

POOL D

Mafolofolo (BOT) continued their winning rhythm to beat DSGP (CGO)   3-0 (27-25,25-14, 25-13).
