Gambia Beach Volleyball team prepares for Youth Games

Banjul, The Gambia, May 27, 2018 – The Gambia Volleyball Federation is putting all efforts together to earn their maiden appearances in the 3rd African Youth Games this July in Algiers.

 

The GVBF is preparing to send two teams in indoor and beach to the Games. Following the selection of the indoor boys' team, the federation had also called two young players in Fatoumatta Sillah of Brikama and Mariama Ginadou of Interior to a training camp at a local beach.

 

The team is currently managed by Pa Babucarr Barrow, assisted by Gambian internationals Amadou Jarju, and beach volleyball queens Sainabou Tambedou and Abie Kujabie.

 

The Gambia had drawn all the selected players from the African Dream Projects Centers and the country is pondering to have success in Algeria.
