Cairo, Egypt, May 6, 2012- The African Volleyball Confederation “CAVB” Development Commission concluded its meeting in Cairo, Egypt on Monday with a lot of proposal that will be presented to the next CAVB Board Meeting.
Among other important issues the commission discussed the 2009- 2012 Strategic Plan which showed 90% success till now according to the CAVB Executive director Mrs Howyda Mondy’s comment during her presentation. She also pointed out the last evaluation of the Development centers in Sudan, Tunisia and Senegal and the renovations happened in those centers to get more benefit from the courses there and the new project to establish development centers in Cameroon and South Africa.
They discussed the value of the implemented courses during 2010 and 2011 specially the National level courses which helped a lot to integrate the efforts of those national federation in the three main categories of the course the coaches, referees and management.
The meeting discussed also the equipment distribution Plan and how to re standardize the requirements of each National Federation to get the highest benefit from these donations of CAVB including the Balls, nets, outside and indoor courts.
CAVB Coaches Commission President Sherif El Shemerly presented his new project “African dream” including all items getting benefit from the project namely coaches, players, schools, competitions, sponsors and equipments. He also discussed the partnerships with the other continents of the world.
CAVB Vice president Gen. Idriss Dokony showed the Development Project principals. According to his proposal, CAVB will communicate with the ministers of Sports in all continental countries in order to start a new era with the local authorities in the continents which will reflect positively to the sport.
Development Commission President Nasiwu Sadik presented a project of 1000 children which was implemented in various cities in Uganda.
CAVB President Dr Amr Elwani concluded the meeting thanking all the participants for their input during the meeting and the value of such meeting to improve the development procedure in all the NFs specially category 1 and 2.
