Preliminary Inquiry & Technical Meeting was held in presence of the six participatingcountries.The meeting was attended by the Host NF President Mr. Kaysee Teeroovengadum, theCAVB representative and the Competition referee Delegate Mr. Drago PESLAC who hasbe assigned to this competition in cooperation between CAVB and CEV for a continuousefforts to develop the Beach VB Referees.At the meeting , the latest African Country Ranking was announced to the Press. HteRanking included the points earned by all participating countries since 2010 during the earlier CCUP sub‐zonals and zonals phases ,as well as their points in the All Africa Gamesin 2011.As the African qualification is a simple elimination draw ( with consolation ) , the teamswere placed on the draw based on their ranking, with South Africa and Nigeria seededas 1 & 2 respectively.With only six countries represented for the final , both RSA and NGR receive a BYE ontheir first day of the competition.Day 1 of the competition will include the best‐of‐5 format matches between Mauritiusand Congo Brazza where the winner reaches the Semi‐final against South Africa, while thesecond bracket features Angola and Egypt where the winner plays the Semi‐final againstNigeria.An opening ceremony attended by Mauritius Sports Authorities will also be part ofDay 1 program.In a solid effort by the Mauritius NF, MBC Radio & TV , as well BBC news Radio werepresent for the technical meeting. And in coordination with the organiser and the CAVB, a two‐hours live broadcast of the final and recording of the event is part of the marketing plan for this competition.On the other hand, Photographers seemed to take special interest in the Mix‐Zone area where the four countries playing on day 1 ( Angola, Cong & Egypt ) have paused for thecamera of the skilful photographers.
