Bujumbura, Burundi, April 10, 2012 – A FIVB Volleyball Cooperation Programme (VCP) Level I Coaches Course kicked off in Bujumbura, Burundi with 30 participants travelling from across the country.
The course, which runs until next Monday, is being run by FIVB instructor Blaise Mayam Re-Niof from Cameroon.
Burundi Volleyball Federation president Louis Rwakiranya said that he is hoping this new course will help develop a new wave of coaches and teachers at school level throughout Burundi.
Burundi already started this year a development plan for both volleyball and beach volleyball. The Burundi Volleyball Federation (BVF) held a special beach volleyball training course for teachers in Rumonge from March 5 to 9 with 21 people taking part.
