Successful regional “Volleyball for Peace” tours in Sierra Leone

Bo town, Sierra Leone, March 27, 2012- This year’s Inter-Regional volleyball Competition has completed in Bo town, Sierra Leone this weekend with all the four the regions in attendance.
The ceremony started with a march past from the Clock Tower to the Bo Coronation field were the competition is played with one of their partner Africell who rebranded the playing area was also in attendance.
The opening ceremony attracted a lot of Volleyball fans as the host Southern Region men team opened the competition with the double champions the Western Area team. That match started with a lot of tension as the host was determined to win the first match in the competition but it turn out to be a different situation as the Western Area came from behind after losing the first two set by 25-23,25-15 to win three sets 25-17,25-18 and 15-8.
In the women category the western area came very strong to defeat the host Southern region by three straight set 25-18,25-17 and 25-18.  
In the other matches played the Northern Region men team defeated Eastern Region by three straight sets (25-19,25-18,27-25).
 For the women category it was a win again for the Northern Region in three straight sets (25-23, 25-17, 25-13).
 Also in the beach volleyball each region presented two teams each with the Western Area dominating in both categories after defeating the host in all the matches played. In the other matches Northern Region defeated Eastern Region.
