Kenya and Rwanda start victorious at Women U23 African Champs

 Nairobi, Kenya, October 23, 2016- Hosts Kenya and Favourites Rwanda start the 2016 Women's African Nations Championship in the right way after both teams set the first win against Botswana and Senegal respectively in the opening day at Kasarani Sports Hall in Nairobi, Kenya on Sunday.


 Kenya beat Botswana 3-0 (25-14, 31-29, 25-19) in front of their spectators after a great fight specially in the tough second set in a match lasting 103 minutes.


 Rwanda rebounded after losing the first set to overcome struggling Senegal 3-1 (26-28, 25-17, 25-14, 25-19) in 96 minutes.


Now Kenya and Rwanda led the 5 nation tournament with 3 points ahead of both Senegal and Botswana with Egypt still waiting to start their matches on Monday against Kenya in an early final, while Senegal face Botswana in the other day 2 match.
