CAVB Beach Volleyball Continental Cup

Bejaia, Algeria,- The Algerian women team clinched hardly the gold medal of the women Pool 3 at the CAVB Beach Volleyball Continental Cup in Bejaia, Algeria following a thrilling match against Mozambique in the final in from of big local crowd attendance.


Algeria rebounded after losing the first match to draw 1-1, and then they advanced 2-1 using the great support of the spectators before Mozambique fought back to clinch the fourth match and draw 2-2.


The match extended to the golden set where the Algerian pair of Meriem Boucheta/ Amel Khamtache defeated Amelia Cumbi/ Guiffermina Cossa 15-8 to win the gold.


Both teams secured before their berth to the finals of the CAVB Continental Cup to be held in June 2012.
