2007 All Arab Games, Cairo- Egypt: Drawing of Lots:

The big forces Egypt and Tunisia in the same pool

Cairo, Egypt, August 10, 2007-: The drawing of lots of the eleventh All Arab Games to be held in Cairo, Egypt 11- 23 November 2007 put the big two Arc Rivals Egypt and Tunisia in the same pool in the finals of the volleyball competition.

The host team Egypt chose to be drawn in Pool B according to Arab competition regulations with their compatriots Tunisia as well as Morocco, Bahrain, Kuwait and Iraq.

Pool A will comprise the last competition silver medalists Algeria as well as Sudan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Libya.

Each Pool will play in a round robin format where the first and second team will qualify to the semifinal.

It is well known that Egypt won the last competition Gold medal in Alger, Algeria 2005 defeating the host team at that time 3-1 in the final.

The drawing of lots was attended by CAVB President Dr. Amr Elwani who expressed that he expects a tough competition which helps the preparation of the Arab volleyball for the big continental competitions in both the African and Asian sides of the Arab countries.
