2003 CAVB BOARD OF ADMINSTRATION MEETING:
CAVB SUPPORTED FIVB CODE OF CONDUCT
CAVB ordinary congress and board of adminstration meetings in Cairo, December 2003 expressed their public solidarity with the International Volleyball Federation, its constitution, code of conduct and regulations that govern us and facilitate our sports relations, and with the FIVB president, General Manager and board of adminstration members for their handling of recent cases of disloyalty of several FIVB members. They decided to condemn firmly the defamatory campaign that the Argentinean Mario Goijman and his spokespersons have unleashed against the FIVB, its President and General Manager and to reject the grotesque accusations that have been published. They also decided to repudiate the conspiracy against the FIVB by Mr. Luis Moreno and Mr. Mario Goijman who have been contacting the IOC members in attempt to rally them to their disloyal cause. They also expressed their solidarity with the FIVB board of adminstration’s decision to suspend the Argentinean Volleyball Federation and initiate the procedure of expulsion.
The board also discussed how to establish local and zonal beach volleyball competitions to make a ranking of all the African beach volleyball teams. The board asked the seven African Zones to increase their activities in the form of Zonal competitions and Coarses to fulfil receiving the financial support. Each development centre will be asked to organize referree courses and to start Park Volleyball Competition in 2004.
The board decided to choose Libya to organize the next Congress in 2005.
