Ahly and Prisons in pool A, Mouloudia and KC Bank in pool B

Cairo, Egypt, April 26, 2008- The drawing of lots of the 2008 Women’s African Clubs Champions Championship put the two big forces Al Ahly of Egypt and Prisons of Kenya in pool A , while Mouloudia of Algeria, Al Shams of Egypt and KC Bank of Kenya in the stronger group B. The competition will be opened on Sunday with three matches where Al Ahly meets Nkumba University of Uganda in pool A while pool B will feature two matches Mouloudia of Algeria vs. Al Shams of Egypt and KC Bank of Kenya vs. VC Canon of RD Congo at Abdalla El Faysal Hall in Ahly club in Cairo, Egypt.

The drawing of lots was attended by CAVB President Dr. Amr Elwani and the control committee president Mr. Baba Sy and local o0rganizing committee president Mohamed Abdelwahab.
Pool A will constitute Al Ahly (Egypt), Nkumba University (Uganda), Prisons (Kenya) and Bafia Evolution (Cameroon), while Pool B includes Mouloudia (Algeria), Mafolofolo (Botswana), KC Bank (Kenya), VC Canon (RD Congo) and Al Shams (Egypt).
The 4 times champions Al Ahly of Egypt will be great favorites for
the title with the 2006 champions KC Bank and prisons of Kenya as well as Mouloudia of Algeria
