Egypt lost the first match against China
 
Hangzhou,China,June 28, 2008 – Egypt Men’s volleyball National team lost their first match against China in the third weekend of the intercontinental round of the 2008 FIVB World League in Hangzhou Dragon Gymnasium with 3-1 on Saturday.
Zhou Jianan's team dominated the match with a performance of power and precision to win 25-22, 25-19, 20-25, 25-23 in front of a 5,000 capacity crowd.


Both team played very well at the beginning of the match and took their 1st point by quick spike. Egypt went 1 point ahead in the 1st TTO. China's No.4 player, Yuan Zhi's heavy spike helped his team catch up with Egypt.16:14, Egypt still kept ahead in the 2nd TTO. China's No.1 player, Bian Hongmin's block and quick spike helped his team catch and take lead over Egypt first time. Yuan Zhi's spike finished the 1st set with 25:22.

Egypt's No.4 player, Abd Elnaeim's service damaged China's reserve and made his team take lead in the 1st TTO. China's fewer mistakes made them controll the game and went 2 points ahead into the 2nd TTO. After 19:16, Egypt's head coach asked for a TO, but it didn't work. Cui Jianjun's heavy spikes broke through Egypt's block many times and China won the 2nd set with 25:19.
