With just three days to the start of the third and final 2006
Women’s World Championship first round tournament in Africa -
Pool B, which will take place in Nairobi, Kenya from July 20-24
in Nairobi, Kenya’s national head coach David Lung’aho named his
final squad of 12 players. The competition will show hosts
Kenya, Algeria, DRC Congo, Eritrea and Congo Brazzaville
competing for the third and last African slot in the finals of
the World Championship.
Leading the list of the 12 players is veteran left player Violet
Baraza who will be the team captain while another experienced
star Dorcas Ndasaba was named the assistant captain of the team
which has been in camp at Kasarani since July 3 when they

function attended by KVF President Ibrahim Efumbi, Secretary
General Jacob Owiti, Sports Organizing Secretary Walter Otieno,
