Morocco Second African Gala
Champions
Morocco won the cup of the second African Gala Championship
held in Casablanca, Morocco defeating Portugal in the final
in a thriller five sets match (22-25, 27-25, 14-25, 25-16,
15-9). Morocco's aspirations were obvious - to win in front
of their home crowd but they knew that they would have to
work hard against Portugal.

his fans, Friday when they clinched a considerable 3-1
victory over England in day two of the second Gala
Championship here in Casablanca, Morocco. Portugal defeated
Senegal in straight sets in the second match.

Afro-European GALA Opening
The second African Gala of International Volleyball
commenced here in Casablanca, Morocco under the auspices of
the Federation Royale Morocaine de Volley and the CAVB with
victories for Morocco and Portugal over Senegal and England
in the opening day.
