Second victory for Nigeria, Tunisia and Kenya

Abuja, Nigeria, September 10-: Kenya, Nigeria and Tunisia claimed their second victory in row over the defending champions Egypt, Cameroon and Botswana in day two of the fifteenth Women's African Nations Championship here in the indoor Hall of the National Stadium of Abuja, Nigeria.

In the match of the day in Pool B, Kenya took the revenge form the Egypt team who defeated them in the final of the last competition in their homelands as they achieved 3-1 Victory (25-16, 28-30, 25-20, 25-19) in a match showing much thrills. The emerging Kenyan players, Asha Makuto and Emily Chemutay played a great role in their team's victory aided by the experienced players Violet Barasa and Ndasaba Dorcas. Egypt tried to come back after they won the second set narrowly through wing spiker Sherihan Abdel Kader and the efficient libero Sara Talaat, but the Kenyan players were much better and control the match to bring the important victory.

In the same pool the emerging Morocco clinched a straight sets victory over Cote d'Ivoire 25-9, 25-8, 25-9 in a one side game lasting only 48 minutes.
