Kenya retains trophy Abuja, Nigeria, September15 -: Kenya retained the trophy of the fifteenth Women's African Nations Championship here in the indoor Hall of the National Stadium of Abuja, Nigeria after their great victory over the organizers, Nigeria in the final of the competition on Wednesday. In a match lasting 102 minutes, Kenya took over Nigeria and the big home crowd who were very excited to see their team on the top of the Podium for the first time in history. Kenya won 3-1 (19-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-17) after a thriller performance of all the experienced stars. After Kenya lost the first set, they controlled the match using their solid block and backline defense to stop the Nigerian attacks. They used also the strong service to disturb the host team and prevent them from building up the attacks.
